Assignment 1.6.1
The best ways to approach the practical component of this activity is to complete the activity using a digital camera to capture images to show the different types of balance and composition. This is an individual assignment, however you will be sharing a camera with a partner. Give each other adequate time to collect the images.
You will be required to complete a collection of 10 images exploring the different types of balance and composition. You will need one good quality images that represents the type of balance or composition learned in the Activity 6: Compose Yourself. Images that are blurred or out of focus will not be marked and you will need to redo. You should also consider fixing problems in your images to make them more appealing. This can all be done using Adobe Photoshop.
Once you have completed your “series”, submit it to your teacher in a folder titled BALCOM.lastname.firstname and then post to your ePortfolio website under the Photography tab (previously created) using a slideshow element. Be sure to identify/title each type of sketch by balance name. Remember that out of focus images will not be marked.
Look back at the Activity 6: Compose Yourself to review the sample images. You should be able to find good quality images throughout the school and close proximity of the school. Do not go out to school property on bad/cold weather days as this will effect the digital cameras operations. All images must be taken with the school property.
