OverviewUnit 1: Light Up Your World: Fundamentals of Media ArtsThis first exciting unit addresses the fundamentals of the production and analysis of media arts. You will be exposed to the history of media arts and find out about key artists whose work blur the boundaries among new media, emerging technologies, and traditional art forms. You will identify and apply the Elements and Principles of Design, the Principles of Media Arts, learn about colour and design theory, and discover composition and layout guidelines. In addition to gaining the fundamentals of media arts production, you will also examine and communicate media literacy concepts in light of gospel values. In the summative assignment of this unit, you will demonstrate your learning through the creation of a magazine cover that will display your inner light to the world.
