CULMINATING PERFORMANCE TASK - EPORTFOLIO WEBSITE
The Website project is an opportunity for you to showcase many of the practical skills that you have learned during the course of the semester, and integrating them in a cohesive manner.
We will be using Weebly to author your website. You can access the log-in page at http://students.weebly.com
Your site should consist of at least 10 pages, of which should include four main sections/tabs: Home, Portfolio, Bucket List, and Blog. Additional pages will fall under some of these tabs. Additional pages may be necessary to appropriately convey content. Any additional pages must meet the general site requirements, and these are detailed below:

Additional pages may be necessary to appropriately convey content. Any additional pages must meet the general site requirements, and these are detailed below:
General requirements for the site include:
- Site should exhibit strong design, user‐friendly navigation, clear and consistent layout, and professional appearance - this will bring out your layout skills learned in past classes.
- Site should exhibit proper use of background, font, and colours. Don’t make it to busy keeping to two font choices.
- Site should be free of grammatical/spelling errors.
- Site must include work that you created throughout the semester and displayed in the Portfolio section — this can be digital photos, graphics, or videos created by you.
- In your My Stuff section, if you use images of celebrities, you must put the link to where you took the image from by using the alt tags feature when you setup your images. You may use other images, but again, they must not violate copyright laws, i/e/ clipart/sock photos are a better choice.
- Each page must have an appropriate title.
- The content that you include must be appropriate — any content that is not appropriate will receive a mark of zero.
- Each page must have a consistent navigation menu containing functional links to all other main required pages.
- All links should be correctly hyperlinked and working.

THE DETAILS
Each required page are as follows:
Home Page:
Portfolio Page:
10 before 20 Bucket List:
Blog Page:
DO NOT INCLUDE PERSONAL INFORMATION: Although the site is password protected, our school boards policy on website is that it cannot contain any personal information of the individual creator. Please do not include any of this information on your site.
Grading:
Your final score on this project will be based on the overall quality of the individual sections/pages of your Website, your adherence to general guidelines and requirements, and quality of design and creativity.
Since this is your CPT, and part of your final evaluation (in addition to the Practical Exam), effort should be evident.
Your site is due at the BEGINNING of the first day of your Exam day. The site can be accessed from home and at school. If you are caught up in your term work and have "down time", you should take advantage of this time to work on your site. Limited class time will be given to work on your site. Waiting at the door or logging off your machine before the bell is not a good use of class-time. This time should be put towards working on your CPT. This observation will be taken into consideration when I see the effort put forth into your ePorfolio.
Home Page:
- This is your home page, it would introduce what the viewer is about to experience from visiting your website.
- The design and content of this page will vary depending on your personal style of expression.
- General requirements above apply for the elements you include.
Portfolio Page:
- This page provides you with an opportunity to showcase all of the work you have done.
- Work should be appropriately displayed, described, and introduced in a way to make the portfolio appropriate and appealing.
- Create additional sub tabs that will showcase the various mediums you have created — photography, video, graphic design, etc.
10 before 20 Bucket List:
- Make a list of 10 things your would like to accomplish before your turn 20. Showcase each item by creating a descriptive image and writing of why this is important to you.
- Remember this section should convey a summary of what's important to you and about you that would tell someone who has never met you, all about you.
- Note: The format you use is open, you might also include a “Ten things to know about me…”, a FAQ page, a multimedia page, or a primarily textual summary with hyperlinks.
- Your presentation should be appealing, user‐friendly, and appropriate to your purpose and for a Catholic School environment.
Blog Page:
- Your Blog is the main Communications component of this part of your CPT.
- Postings on your blog should be entered daily or weekly.
- If you choose daily your won't need to write as much information as you would for covering a week of what you did in the class during this time.
- Postings should include what projects are in the works, how you will address them, problems you are running into, how you resolved problems or issues, frustrations, new things learned, etc.
DO NOT INCLUDE PERSONAL INFORMATION: Although the site is password protected, our school boards policy on website is that it cannot contain any personal information of the individual creator. Please do not include any of this information on your site.
- Do not post your email address
- Do not post your last name, just first name
- Do not post any of your contact information, such as address/phone
- Do not post the name of this school — SJA is fine; St. Joan of Arc is not.
